Samsung unveils waterproof ‘Superphone’ Galaxy S5

New Delhi: South Korean giant Samsung has unveiled the next in the series of Galaxy mobile phones, being touted as the most advanced smartphone ever, at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The Galaxy S5 comes with a water and dust-proof exterior, a fingerprint scanner, a 5.1-inch full high-definition display and a 16 megapixel camera apart from inbuilt heart rate sensor.



The phone, that will run on Android 4.4 KitKat platform, comes with a wearable fitness gear and will use ten percent of less battery than its predecessor the S4. The phone will only go on sale in April and customers can expect it to be competitively priced as compared to S4 which was priced at about $600. The mobile giants are aiming to turn the mobile into substitute doctor and personal trainer with the launch on this device that is set to challenge competitor iPhone 5S.
