If reports are to be believed, then the Group of Ministers which met ad hoc has reportedly made some vital recommendations over the Telangana bill to the Central government. This could well be the final card to come to conclusion regarding the whole issue.
Sources say that a key recommendation most likely involves declaring Hyderabad as a Union Territory for the next 10 years, through which the Congress may signal a big compromise to bring Seemandhra leaders into its fold. The GoM has also reportedly recommended that funding the new state capital will have to be borne by the Central government considering revenue streams of both the states. Though this crucial recommendation, if indeed proposed can provide some solace for Seemandhra leaders.
But it is expected to cause heartburn for those agitating for a separate Telangana state. It is being said that with just one to two days left for T-bill to be passed by cabinet, Congress leadership may have put the ball in T-court for one big compromise in return for Telangana, if not they can forget passing of the bill!
