Director Steven Shankar's latest directorial venture Hrudaya Kaleyam is a comedy action entertainer movie, which has hit the marquee today (April 4). Burning Star Sampoornesh Babu and Ishika Singh have played the lead roles in the film, which has been produced by Sai Rajesh Neelam under the banner of Amrutha Productions. RK has scored music for the songs, while Srikanth Pendyala has composed the background score.

Hrudaya Kaleyam is an action comedy entertainer with other masala elements like romance and sentimental scenes. Sampoornesh Babu's superb performance is the main attraction in the film. Steven Shankar's absorbing narration and funny and punch dialogues, Ishika's glamour, well-choreographed action and dance sequences and rib-tickling comedy are its other highlights. The biggest drawback of the film is that it does not have a story and it looks like a stage show. Besides direction, Steven Shankar has also written story, screenplay and dialogues for the movie Hrudaya Kaleyam. The movie does not boast anything new or fresh in terms of its story. But what makes you watch the film is an engrossing narration.
The director has managed to create a wonderful screenplay for this action comedy entertainer, which has all commercial ingredients and enough amount of twists and turns. Hrudaya Kaleyam opens with introduction of Sampoornesh Babu's character in a grand way, but runs without a proper story till the interval bang. Steven Shankar manages to hold your attention with some comedy scenes, punch dialogues and action scenes in the first half. The second half begins with a flash back followed by a few romantic scenes.
After a couple of twists the movie ends with a crazy climax. Sampoornesh Babu is man behind several robberies in the city and the police department is in search of him. After getting a few clues, police successfully catches him. The police office, who nabs him, is aware of his love story. Who is his love interest? Why he took up robbery? The rest of the film will answer these questions. The movie is a show of Sampoornesh Babu, who has delivered a brilliant performance in Hrudaya Kaleyam.
He rocks the viewers with his unique body language and dialogue diction. He also impresses the film goers in action, comedy, romantic and sentimental sequences. Ishika Singh has no much scope for performance, but wins the heart of viewers with her glamour. Others have also done justice to their roles. Hrudaya Kaleyam is a decent production elements. Steven Shankar's written punch dialogues are the main highlight in the technical front.
Beautiful cinematography, music and background score, hilarious comedy, beautiful choreography of action and dance are other big attractions of the movie. Overall, Hrudaya Kaleyam has no story, but promise to entertain you for two plus hours. Though it has been promoted as action comedy film, the film has all commercial elements and appeals to masala audience. It is a good time pass film for this weekend for those who only look for fun.
