‘Stanley Ka Dabba’ director Amole Gupte’s much-awaited ‘Hawaa Hawaai’ and Vinod Khanna’s ‘Koyelaanchal’ hit screens today (May 9).
The film is the story of a skating coach, played by Huma Qureshi’s brother, Saqib Saleem. Also featuring in the film is Amole Gupte’s son Partho who is known for his stellar performance in his father’s ‘Stanley Ka Dabba’.
‘Hawaa Hawaai’ also stars ‘Kai Po Che’ director Abhishek Kapoor’s girlfriend Pragya Yadav.
Amole Gupte has surely never disappointed in the past and promises to be a good watch especially with the fresh jodi of Saqib and Pragya.
The next release this Friday is Ashuu Trikha’s ‘Koyelaanchal’ starring veteran actor Vinod Khanna, Sunil Shetty, Vipinno, Rupali and Purva Parag among others.
The film narrates the tale of the coal mafia who hold the precious fuel station at ransom for centuries. ‘Koyelaanchal’ is sure to be a treat for those who love to being their filmi weekends with just the right amount of action.
The other releases this week include ‘Mastram,’ which revolves around a porn writer who struggles with society’s double standards and ‘Manjunath’, a tale about a boy who beings his career in an oil firm, only to release the large-scale corruption that exists within.
Zaid Ali Khan’s ‘Khwaabb’ also hits screens today. The film is the story of a passionate athlete and her will to overcome the bureaucracy and competition that exits in Indian sports.
And finally, ‘Yeh Hai Bakrapur’ is the last release of this weekend. Directed by Janaki Vishwanathan, the film is a satire on the life in rural India.
