Bollywood star Aamir Khan on Monday called upon Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi.
The meeting was just a courtesy call by the 49-year-old actor and held at South Block. The PMO Twitter handle posted a photo of Aamir Khan shaking hands with Narendra Modi.
Aamir, a social crusader in his own right, discussed several issues with the Indian PM.
Later, the superstar took to Twitter to shed more light on the meeting.
Aamir Khan revealed, “Shared with him (Mr. Modi) the overwhelming support that we got from people across the country through Vote for Change Campaign on SMJ (Satyamev Jayate) on the various issues that we tackled in our show. He has assured me that he will look into all the matters.”

It can be recalled that Aamir Khan courted controversy in 2006 when he had sided with social activist Medha Patkar for Narmada Bachao Andolan. Back then, Aamir's remarks on the Gujarat government and then Chief Minister Narendra Modi evoked protests in Gujarat and even called for a ban on his film Fanaa. It was said back then that the actor had made a place in the bad books of Narendra Modi.
But now all that is water under the bridge and new bonds are being forged. We like.
